HasMedia Operations Hub
The Operations Hub is the internal system HasMedia uses to run client video production, and to prove that finished work was actually published.
It is a private tool for the HasMedia team and the clients we produce for. It is not available for public sign up.
What it does
Tracks the work. Every client has footage that comes in, projects that get edited, and finished files that get exported. The Hub records each stage, who owns it, and what is outstanding.
Proves publication. When HasMedia finishes a video for a client, that exact file is registered in the Hub. If the client has authorized read only access to their YouTube channel, the Hub compares the exact file size of each upload on that channel against the files we exported. When an upload matches exactly one registered file, the Hub records the video as published and stores the YouTube link as evidence.
Nothing is assumed from a title or a thumbnail. A video counts as published only when the numbers match exactly, and every result, including every result that did not match, is shown with the reason.
What we ask clients to authorize
One permission, read only:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly
That permission lets the Hub see the channel's list of videos and, for each one, the title, whether it is public, the publish date, and the original file name and file size reported by YouTube at upload.
What that permission cannot do
It cannot post, upload, edit, schedule, hide or delete anything. It cannot read comments, private messages, revenue or audience data. HasMedia continues to post by hand in the normal apps. The Hub only reads, afterwards, to confirm.
Removing access
A client can remove HasMedia's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and can ask us to delete the records we hold by writing to okan@hasmedia.com.
